Description

NGC 2336 is a barred spiral galaxy (below in the image). It was discovered in 1867 by Ernest Tempel. It has at least 8 arms with numerous HII regions. It is in the visual field of the irregular galaxy IC467 (above), however the galaxies are not in iteration. Both galaxies are about 100 million light years away.
